Run do not go to Mercy South, every tues a new hospitalist that do not care after all they are paid. Also the Mercy cardiac and vascular team (EP) does not care. My family member had Amiodarone gtt infusing and that office said the hospitalist could manage it. NO my brother b/c Amio toxic and ended up on a Vapo Therm just minutes away from being on a vent. I had to insist on a Pulm MD thank goodness he caught the toxicity and stopped the gtt. 24hours later was off of the high flow Vapo Therm but the damage was done still ... read more

I am a 70 yr old male that has been dealing with a bad back for forty years. I have had five lumber surgeries and countless procedures and been to many hospitals. I have never had any better care than what i received at Mercy South my nurses and techs include: Shannon Dugan, Maria Buenaventura, Kathleen Keller, Nick Ferrugia, Lexie Szuba, Katie Burns all these and the others that helped me get thru my fifth lumbar surgery went above and beyond the call. "Continued review of Mercy Rehab." The family was called by Mercy Rehab on Sunday, 29 Jun 2025 because the nurse didn't read the notes stating mom didn't need Trazadone, a harsh drug. We all rushed to the ER at Mercy South and waited for mom to come back from a CT Scan. Mom came back in and the Neurologist on duty said there wasn't a stroke but they would code it as that because they didn't know how else to code it.  Without consulting the family, she injected mom with a large amount of Depakote (1500 cc's), a very harsh ant... read more
