My experience at Mercy West was good. On July 4 this year, I was eating and something got stuck in my throat or esophagus. My husband called 911 and paramedics came. They managed to get my airway clear. But they thought I should go to the hospital to get checked out. The staff at Mercy West ER was amazing. The ER was not crowded which surprised me for a holiday. I was taken to the Mercy Hospital Emergency Room. The doctors and nurses treated me with respect and were very professional in their diagnosis for my condition. I couldn't have asked for a better place for Emergency medicine. I highly recommend the Mercy Hospital E.R. Dept.

I went into the emergency room at 6 AM with a hacking cough that I had had for about four weeks and no one had been able to diagnosed. I will soon to be going on vacation and wanted some answers. The staff immediately started working on me to get a chest x-ray bloodwork give me a breathing treatment and do whatever they could to give me some answers to make a long story short my final diagnosis was viral bronchitis. I was the only one in the emergency room and it took them 20 minutes to call me to the back, and then another 30 minutes before I was seen by a nurse and then another 20 before I seen a doctor. After they took an X-ray of my knee it took another 30 minutes before the Doctor came back to tell me the results of the X-ray. I will never if I can help it come to Mercy West ER again. I will pass my experience that I had with M.W. ER to my family and friends. (Very Disappointed)
