Getting a colonoscopy is something thag can really cause a lot of anxiety. I'm grateful to everyone at Mercy Endoscopy for being so kind and helpful and informative, from the lady at the front desk by the entrance who got me signed in, to the woman at the intake desk, to the nurse who took my vitals and put in my IV, to the procedure nurse, the anesthesiologist, and Dr. Cross himself. I had to get my first colonoscopy this year and was very anxious about the whole experience, however the Dr Ortego and his staff were so kind, helpful and reassuring through the entire process. Kathy was my intake person and she made me feel cared for, answered my questions, and generally set me at ease before my procedure. Christine (possibly Christina) was my nurse and she was so sweet! I am sure the care meets all clinical guidelines, but it feels like they want patients to be identical cogs in their efficient machine. Everything is driven by their risk with zero consideration or flexibility for patient concerns. I will go elsewhere next time I need endoscopy services.
