Mervy Joplin ER laci's compassion, kindness and empathy towards the disabled and chronically ill. The head doctor of the ER Jesse Hatfield wants to label everyone who comes through that door as an addict or drug seeker yet will tell you to your face he refuses to look at said chart to see what your illnesses are. He will even refuse to treat an infection properly and send you home with an antibiotic you are allergic to and tells you to take it anyways. Had to go to another hospital er to get proper treatment. My experience with the office staff, nurse and Dr. Gonzalez was great. Dr. Gonzalez was kind, thorough, patient and, in my opinion, has a very caring demeanor that I thought was nice.
Dr. Erum Qazi is a professional, empathic, and caring provider. She created a pleasant environment where I felt safe to express my concerns. I would recommend her highly.
I am a 70 yr old male that has been dealing with a bad back for forty years. I have had five lumber surgeries and countless procedures and been to many hospitals. I have never had any better care than what i received at Mercy South my nurses and techs include: Shannon Dugan, Maria Buenaventura, Kathleen Keller, Nick Ferrugia, Lexie Szuba, Katie Burns all these and the others that helped me get thru my fifth lumbar surgery went above and beyond the call. Only interested in the insurance pay. 20 minute office call paid 200 dollars. The entire staff receptionists, med techs , nurses and nurse practioners act as if they are doing you a favor seeing you . Ive never seen such a rude bunch of health professionals under one roof. I fired this medical office and so glad i did.
Dr. Wun was dismissive and rude, he walked out saying "ill go take care of my other 20 patients" then he falsified DC notes saying i left ama there and a prior hospital which is a LIE! my prior er visit the dr allowed me to be discharged by request since im getting outpatient procedure with a specialist however their er dept told me to go to the nearest er which was mercy. dr.wun said nothing i was experiencing was significant or er level, he tried to get me to sign an ama which i said no, please discharge me if you feel its... read more
We did not even follow through with the appointment. Let me just say that none of the employees we spoke with should be associated with the name or word “mercy”. They were rude, disrespectful and uncaring, at least about your situation. They care about money though. That seemed to be all they care about. The type of service we received just in the appointment setup at this wound care facility is typical. Nobody cares about you at all and seems like they hate their job and life.
