The care I received at The Spine Center was great and Dr. Rahrig was very informative. However I will not be returning or proceeding with treatment due to the fees Mercy has imposed. I cannot afford to pay a $132.00 "facility fee", and a "professional services fee" in addition to my co-pay at every office visit.
First time I called to schedule a procedure, I got the displeasure of speaking to peachy Kayla-she suggested I go back to the pain doctor I saw at Mercy south. Then I asked if this was the Washington location, she said yes. Not true-it's one of their locations. I got the feeling she was trying to pass the buck & get off the phone. Second time I spoke to her, she asked me if I've ever seen a pain management doctor before (um-we just talked about it) & didn't even read the referral before asking me these questions. Waste of time and resources. Arrived early. Could not check in because reception had not completed my patient info. The nurse wanted to cancel and I declined because I drove for 40min. Had tech issues with the mercy app due to Mercy incorrectly entering my info, had to call tech support, where they told me how to tell reception how to fix my info. Got checked in late. Was rushed through appointment and was told it was an initial consultation, not a visit for treatment, and to continue PT and let them know if I needed medicat... read more
Dr Rahrig has helped me immensely!!
When you call to schedule an appointment you are sent to Washington, Mo where they schedule everything for the 'satelite' offices such as clarkson/Clayton. Allow yourself plenty of time and patience as the women who answer are not the sharpest tacks. The first woman tried giving me another patients personal information. The second woman spoke over me the entire time and didn't know up from down. Something must be in the water over there.
