My PCP sent a referral to Dr. Bowden. If I could give Bowden zero stars I would. She was the most compassionless Dr I have ever encountered. Apparently my referral sent was for headaches, so when Dr. Bowden finally came in the room, it was obvious she was in a hurry. I tried asking what to do for care while waiting the clinic's guesstimated time of 17+days to be assigned to a doctor. When I tried to go over a hypothetical situation so they could instruct me on what to do, the nurse HUNG UP ON ME. I have never in my life experienced such concerning behavior from a health clinic.
I have previously had positive experiences with the staff and received excellent care from nurse practitioners and doctors at Mercy. However, I am currently encountering difficulties in securing approval for my wife's medical treatments through Tricare at Mercy. Despite multiple scheduled appointments, she has been turned away due to insurance-related issues. They will ignore your call, then after waiting 15 minutes on hold after calling 10 times, they'll hang up if you don't answer quickly enough. Absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional.
