You may think dress shirts are the only shirts sent out to be laundered, but that's not the case. T-shirts are common professional laundry items, too. Care to guess how much cotton is used in the production of an average T-shirt? If you guessed over 8 ounces (8.11), you're right.

You've invested a lot of money in your wardrobe, so always check labels. If one says “dry clean only,” then the item must be or it will be ruined. If it says “dry cleaning recommended,” you should go ahead and have it dry cleaned to be safe.

We provide transport hangars for your fine wearables, but your garments will last longer and look better if you transfer them to cushioned hangars once you get them home. Cushioned hangars help maintain the structure of your clothing pieces without putting undue stress on shoulder seams or armholes.

There are a variety of different laundry regulations, including local regulations, federal requirements, and OSHA standards. Doing your own laundry can lead to costly violations, but you can be sure laundry experts will make sure everything is cleaned in accordance with these regulations.

Certain items should always be taken to the dry cleaner, because they're easy to damage if you're trying to wash them at home. These include garments with a lining, suits, and garments that have delicate embroidery, beading, or sequins.

Once your fur coat is cleaned, store it properly at home. While we may return it to you with a plastic bag covering, this is just to protect it until you get home. Remove it from the bag immediately and hang it uncovered on a broad-shouldered hanger.

Can you afford to go to work in clothes that don’t look clean and professional? If your appearance at work is crucial, finding a reliable dry cleaner is just as important. Dry cleaning your suits and other work outfits will ensure your clothes look their best every day.

Luckily, times have changed. In the 1880s, the rocker washer was state of the art. It consisted of two half-drums: The large one held water and soap, while a small interior drum was rocked back and forth through soapy water until the laundry was clean.

Natural fibers such as wools and silks will shrink and perhaps lose their color when washed in water, but will dry clean beautifully. Cottons and linens, unless they are preshrunk in manufacture, will also shrink in home laundering.
