Merchant tire is a rip off I went in on a Saturday to get a state inspection done After waiting for about two hours the guy in the front said it was going to fail They took me in the back and explained to me i needed a new rack and pinion With the labor and the part it was going to be close to a thousand dollars I didn’t let them do the work and decided to go for a second opinion Turns out all it needed to fix the sound coming from the steering wheel was a little plastic bushing that cost 6 dollars I ended up putting the par... read more

Absolute garbage service. Went in just for an inspection. Tried to trick my wife into new tires, an unnecessary oil change and an hour of labor to remove grease from lug nuts. Never going back there again

Every time I go they say something is wrong with it that I have never noticed before. I am an Army mechanic and I know my way around the workings of a vehicle (especially Fords) and every time they mention something has "gone wrong" with a part of my car, I start having problems with that part of my car. I've also had problems with the mechanics being rude to me and assuming I know nothing about my own vehicle. I would find somewhere else to get a repair done if I needed a service performed.
The young lady working was wonderful, polite and very efficient. Called me to tell me that they found a problem and was it okay to go ahead and fix it and told me the cost. Great service!!!!
Three days ago I realized I was in dire need of tires right away as I had a large crack in one of my front tires. Unfortunately, neither Christiansburg or Radford Walmart had the tires that I needed. I was having trouble getting internet signal to find the number to call Merchants, so I called my dad and he called them for me. He was quoted a price of $444 for an entire set. Worst customer service ever I DO NOT Recommand them to anyone! I'd pay double actual price to go to another place that's how bad they are! Read reviews people before you go there! Worst ever!!!! First time & last time ever going!
