This resort is a hidden gem on Dampier Peninsula, right on a marvelous bay/beach with magnificent sunsets.The track in (33 km, a litte more than 1 hour drive) is mostly sandy, but also with heavy ondulations and some rocky sections. Kaila and Tony (and their dogs) are perfect hosts, super-friendly and put all their efforts into the maintenance of this resort. We had the privilege of staying at this magical place for 2 nights. We stayed in the cabin with 2 bedrooms and it was very comfortable with good air-conditioning for sleep. Tony and Kaila made sure we were welcome and comfortable and joined us for sunset drinks to share stories about the place. It is truly one of the most beautiful places we have ever been to. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful place with us. We loved the eco tent, how connected we felt to the country, and all the facilities were perfectly clean and really well kept. The beach is spectacular, as was Castle Rock Beach. Thanks for the delicious addition to our Gin and Tonics. Tony and Kaila were great hosts and really helpful sorting us out so we could get home safely after some car issues, even getting us to message when we got home so they knew we arrived safely. Wow! What a hidden treasure and a wonderful find. If you enjoy nature, peace and quiet Mercedes Cove is for you. We didn’t get to meet Pat and Dave but we were really well looked after by Kaila and Tony who were extremely welcoming, friendly, helpful and hospitable. Nothing was too much trouble to ensure that we enjoyed our stay. The Safari tent was great, well appointed and had everything we needed. This piece of paradise is truly breathtakingly beautiful!! We had the most amazing 5 days here with our children and were sad to leave. The sunsets are like no other.
