2013 C250 coupe I was having timing /cam problems so bad it wouldn't turn over. After 2 other mechanics shops, I ended up getting it towed to Portland Mercedes. After a very detailed/ video inspection it ended up needing a new motor & several other things & maintenance. I'm certain the last shop it was at did something to cause the need for a new motor, but I'm unable to prove that. Towed from Kelso, my home to Portland —my 2000 SLK 230 which I’m restoring for my college bound granddaughter as I needed to get a new ignition key. Over a week later I was told the factory supplied new key didn’t work, that the service staff couldn’t fix it that I’d have to replace the system to the tune of over $4,000.00! Insurance coved 15 miles of the 50 it had to be towed. Ouch! Just sick of dealing with your service people I had the car towed to Omega motors PDx and they got me a key, total cost $54.00. The customer service was awful. They don’t care about their loyal customers. Complete indifference. When I came to pick up my car, it wasn’t even washed (they do a courtesy wash at Mercedes Benz dealerships across the country). The service associate didn’t even bother to walk us to our vehicle and didn’t even say “goodbye”. Never encountered such ignorance and lack of respect in any other MB dealership. Definitely not servicing my vehicle at that place any time soon.
