Don't go there if you have seizures. You will have to wait a couple hours for a private ambulance to come to take you to Hillcrest. Cost of $1600 for a 5 mile trip.
Staff and doctors are great, but the wait for the ER is ridiculous. If you are further than an inch from death you will be waiting over an hour to be seen. More than likely several hours. On very uncomfortable chairs in a cramped waiting room. Plus the noise from the months-long construction is horrendous. Try somewhere else first.
Went in with sever abdominal pain. The Dr's here were great, fixed me right up. The one star is for the billing department, I was overcharged in my time of need. I called to inquire as to why they overcharged me, when on my insurance card it states the amount to be paid. They stated that's just what they charge, the lady showed no sympathy or a human side. Went there around 4am on 9/19 due to excruciating pain in my stomach. Nurse was okay but the man Ed who put my IV in had the worst altitude. I told him I am normally a hard stick and while he found a vein for an iv it became infiltrated. He was called in to try again. Not sure why my nurse wasn’t the one trying to get iv in but whatever. Again this man was looking around for a vein which was obviously making me anxious all while I am experiencing level 10 pain.
