Discharged from this service due to quote on quote “clearly you don’t need us” as I was going on a camping trip which is a therapeutic hobby of mine. As someone who was REALLY desperate for the support as I have reached the age limit for youth services and Mentis Assist was the only option for me, I am highly disappointed. Never again.
A huge shout out to Matt. He's been my partners case worker for several months now and has done wonders for him. Matt has adapted his approach to my partners needs, tailors his communication style to best suit what makes my partner comfortable and able to under stand him in a way other professionals have not been able to do. I've been supported by 2 amazing ladies from mentis in frankston. When I first reached out for help they supported me when noone else would which I'm forever grateful. I did have an issue arise with one of the mental health nurses, but when I complained my complaint was taken seriously and I was given another support person. I've felt heard and supported since being engaged with this organisation.
Seems like my review was taken down. Don't know what's happened to freedom of opinion. I found this service very unprofessional, condescending when in need of support and ignorant in how to assist someone with mental health issues. Did more harm than good. There are much more supportive mental health facilities out there.
