Nurse Sow is one of THE best nurse practitioners I've ever had the pleasure of working with. I've encountered many psychiatric providers in my field of work and she is by FAR one of the most trustworthy, helpful and compassionate providers I've ever had.
She put me on seroquel for sleep. Really? Seroquel?
If you are able to go anywhere else, please please please do. I have had a couple different providers from other mental health facilities and this is not how it has ever been done. You are required to see your provider once a month to receive any prescription and if they do not accept your insurance, you are paying $150 out of pocket. I would not mind if the care was great however, all of my appointments have been under 3 minutes. "How are you?" I've struggled to get to place where I could write this, and I considered sending this directly to MHrA, but I figured it would be ignored. I am a relatively privileged person who, unfortunately, has a huge toolbox of skills to draw from when dealing with the medical world. My time seeing a psych at MHfA was one of the most exhausting, frustrating experiences I've had.
