I’ve taken two Family 2 Family classes at the MENTAL WELLNESS Center in Santa Barbara and also my adult child and I participate in a peer and parent program and it’s helped me greatly to deal with schizophrenia that has affected my wonderful son and changed his life. I work at The Salvation Army (a transitional housing facility) here in Santa Barbara and I cannot stress enough what an invaluable resource The Wellness Center is for our residents; particularly those with dual-diagnoses (having both mental health and addiction issues) and the vulnerable/at-risk individuals who happen to find themselves without housing in our fair city.
