If you haven't tried Mendocino Farms in Vernon Hills yet, you're missing out! Every meal I've had has been just as beautiful as the pictures, which says a lot about the care they put into preparing each order. The Happy Hippie sandwich was literally bigger then my mouth could open and absolutely delicious! I hate to give this place such a low star review, but unfortunately, it’s an accurate reflection of the experience. We’ve been there four times since it opened - twice to dine in, twice for pickup, and the food has been prepared incorrectly 3 of the 4 times. The dine in experience is far better than pickup, but it’s not great. The food is overpriced and mediocre at best, and the restaurant itself is nice, but when it’s busy, it’s deafeningly loud and the food takes an inordinately long time for a sandwich place. My go-to for sandwiches, salads and soup! It's my favorite place to eat because everything tastes fresh and really good & well-priced..Unlike places like Panera Bread, Which i really hate. The homemade teas and drinks are AWESOME as well! I never get tired of eating here.
To management: if you expect this place to last hire and train the crew. Awful experience. 15 people all waiting for food. Took forever nobody on the same page working. Food was super cold just an unfortunate experience. I love mendos but let’s get it together! One more thing turn on the AC!
