You have workers in the lumber yard and section at the Vernon Hills store that have no idea what they are doing, stand around and do nothing, and make like they are busy. Awful customer service.
Not a Menards fan but I really like this one. Have one closer but make the drive here. Store is huge and has items that I don't see elsewhere. Store is eat off the floor clean. Employees are knowledgeable, polite and are willing to walk the extra mile to help. Sounds kinda nerdy but sometimes this Menards is a cool place to just walk around to see what they have.
They definitely have what we need it at good prices. The staff is friendly and helpful. Over the years I have discovered that they often have the low end version of things like tools and building materials (doors, lighting fixtures, etc).
