A few reasons the VA in Memphis is so bad. When I started going to the VA 9 years ago all was pretty good. Now, nobody answers the phone, nobody calls you back, and all in all, the people who work there besides the doctors are incompetent and just downright stupid. The other problem is even though they pay for emergency visits outside the VA, the VA does not pay for ambulance services at any time. This means I have to get a friend to take me to the emergency room because I cannot afford an ambulance. How stupid is that.... read more
