I have been dealing with Memphis & Shelby county pediatric group for 7 years now. At first I didn’t know if I would like it because the doctors are very straightforward but what older person isn’t lol. I have never had any issues with them caring for my children. I have even been sick during one of my daughter’s check ups and dr Carter made sure I left with a prescription for antibiotics. His words were a sick mom can’t function correctly with an infant baby. Changing my rating from 5 stars to 1 because of a recent visit. The nurse practitioner was nasty and ableist. She didn't examine my daughter properly and huffed and puffed the whole time. She even attempted to slick insult me. I have been coming to Memphis and Shelby County Pediatrics for 18 years with all three of my kids, but I won't be returning after the gross attitude, immaturity, and unprofessional behavior from the nurse practitioner.
They have great doctors and staff here but here lately for a few months I want to say I cannot get in contact with anybody I can't get nobody to call me back I've been waiting on referrals for a few months I've been trying to make appointments even my insurance cards and no one's answering or responding to any of our emails messages. I'm actually a little shocked because he has never been like this My kids have been known to this doctor's office for years.
If I could give this place -0 stars I would. My 7 year old daughter WAS a patient under Dr Carter for over 5 years! During that time, he refused to acknowledge my health concerns regarding my child. He dismissed my concerns. His NP ordered referrals that NEVER called to schedule and the referrals rep NEVER figured out why! Then I was just refused documentation on my child’s ongoing health concerns to present to her school for her safety!. This place should be shut down honestly. It’s always filthy!
