Dr. Shah's medical assistant, Brittany, is nothing short of fantastic! In the 2-1/2 years that I've known her, she is wonderful to work with and has NEVER failed to deliver outstanding patient service. No matter what the issue (and I've had a couple 'special' ones that were pretty challenging), she is extremely responsive, tackles it immediately, gets it totally resolved (which can take some doing), and all with with tenacity, good humor, and an amazing positive attitude. My urologist sent a referral in January. I called and called and left messages for the new patient coordinator, and never heard back. Finally, one day I did get ahold of her, and she said they needed labs to prove I needed to be seen by them. So I call the urologist. This is mid February by this time. The urologist sends over the labs. It is now May 8, 2025, four months and change after the initial referral, and I haven’t heard from Memorial Nephrology since. Staff who handles the phones, referrals, etc..Was exceptional..She returned my call within 24 hrs, gave me guidance and compassion and some tips on how to get recent labs before my first appointment..I'm new to the Kidney world and I felt very reassured per our conversation...Melissa Moore- New patient from Kaiser ..
They make it impossible to get an appointment or even to find out if the doctors who are listed as in-network for your insurance are still there. No website, extremely limited telephone choices. No thanks.
