I went to this hospital experiencing severe abdominal pain. What initially appeared to be a situation they considered stable ultimately turned out to be a ruptured cyst that resulted in approximately 400 cc of blood accumulating in my uterus. Despite my condition, I was repeatedly given pain medication and was being prepared for discharge. By approximately 6 a.m., the next ER shift reviewed my chart and recognized the seriousness of the situation. I was subsequently transferred to Salina for emergency surgery.
