Initially I hadn't realized I went to the wrong building, I was supposed to be at Central Kansas Mental Health Center but somehow ended up at this hospital, luckily for me Matilda M. Calvin was so helpful and kind the entire time! Not once did I feel unwelcome and she has an air of warmth to her, she helped redirect me to the building I was originally supposed to be at and saved me a huge headache having to drive back home for no reason! A great person all around, all the staff were very friendly as well!
I waited a couple of weeks to write this to ensure accuracy despite emotional state. However, i feel it’s important to note the the the medical staff was rude. The assistant to the PA was rude to my 6 year old and myself, making demands with no bedside manner. They were confrontational and did not have much patience for a child, much less a parent with questions. Each question was answered with a rude remark, as if my intelligence was being questioned. My doctor and her nurse are fantastic. Nearly everything else about memorial health is absolutely horrible. Update: December 2025, revising from absolutely horrible to getting a bit better. My doctor and nursing staff are still great!
