I am working towards gallon 19, so I have been here several times. Makenzie was one of the best to ever collect blood from me. She even went further and made a note in my account so that my church gets credit even when I donate at the Lee's Summit donor center. Everyone working there has always been awesome. Special shout out to Mark too! See you in 8 weeks friends.
Tori was so sweet and kind. She was incredibly informative and pure of heart, she educated me about doing whole blood vs double red donation for my second time in and made me feel safe and comfortable. All the staff here is funny and friendly and will make sure you are doing okay. Come here for your next donation it’s worth it!
Greatest blood donation center I've ever seen! I've been donating blood for over 20 years and this is the nicest set up I've donated in. Highlights: *The beds have USB charging ports *The waiting area is relaxed like a lounge *Easy to find location(Same traffic light as St. Luke's, making coming and going a breeze.) *Open and bright spaces, modern and clean but doesn't feel sterile like a hospital setting They just opened on Sept 27, but the staff is great and really know their stuff. Disappointed that the staff decided to waste my double red blood cell appt. today on whole blood because they were too busy to gossip about the latest celeb news instead of checking to see what appt. I was scheduled for....and not to mention never in my life of donating blood or plasma have I ever had a tech not hold pressure on my arm when removing the needle and allowing blood to run down my arm without even offering to clean it up.
