I've been a patient of Dr. Murphy's for over 20 yrs and his front office staff is less than desirable. I just called to make an appointment and the receptionist responded as if I was bothering her. During my last visit I sat at the front to be checked out while the receptionist and another office employee horse played. I didn't bother saying anything-----I just left. Because you cannot get past the receptionists, you cannot receive any service. Are the receptionist in the business of limiting Dr. Murphy's business. If so, why doesn't he simply tell HAP and other HMO providers that he is NOT open to accepting new patients.
