I had a small welding job and Mel's has been around forever in Vista so I took it there. I was told it would be two weeks before they could get to it. After three weeks I checked and they still hadn't started it but I was promised it would be done by the end of the week. Friday came which was almost a month after dropping it off. Mel and his son of Mel's Welding South have been wonderful supporters and sponsors of Troop 799 and Explorer Post 3141. For the Troop they provided over 40 metal flag stands for the 50 State Flag project and the work was done by an Eagle Scout hired by Mel's. For the Explorer Post Mel's donated a 1 inch diameter iron rod for the Trebuchet axle, which is the "heart" of the Trebuchet.
