3 stars because he's a good guy, but has more repair projects that he can handle on his own. Its almost been a year since I left my TV with him, went to take it back today because he kept telling me it would be another few weeks x5. Then told me he couldn't find the service manual. He had to move several other projects to get to my TV on the floor and with dust and cobwebs on it, had been there unmoved for a long while. It really is amazing that after being a technician for over 20 years in a different field that out of the five stores, I called, everyone I Called Wouldn’t give me an answer in any constructive way. By the way, this store tried to tell me that the issue wasn’t what I know it to be. None of the stores in the city seem to want to make any money and think TVs are unfixable when they are the actual easiest things in the world to fix. Fixed my VCR in a matter of days.
I have a vintage stereo receiver that needed service and contacted Melrose TV VCR & Stereo Repair to see if it was something they could work on. Richard enthusiastically replied that he could and I brought it to him the next day. I told him the problem and he let me know that it would be a week before he could look at it, but that he'd call and give me a quote before starting the repair.
