I chose Melrose Dental Studio because of their impressive 4.9 rating, but my experience was incredibly disappointing. I paid R14K for a single root canal & some minor cavity work, a fee I was willing to overlook if the quality matched the price (btw, this was >600% of scheme rates) hoping for premium care, but what I received was the opposite. After radiation and chemotherapy treatment my teeth and gums were an absolute mess. After visiting another dentist, I was told that they could not assist. I was referred to Dr Albertz and voila - he has made me whole again. I once again have a mouth full of teeth. I would definitely recommend over and over.
location = 5/5. neatness = 4/5. privacy = 0/5 [door keep opening, studio overlooking passage]. staff = 4/5. service/quality work = 3/5 [dr is good but lacked proper communication with patient]. affordability/cost = 0/5 [you buy for business class ticket that serving economy food/chair - compared to other prof dentists in hyde park, rosebank etc]. medical aid-friendly = 1/5 [not even our Disc-Class-Comprehensive covers part of the hectic bill].
