I went there for ana treatment and tell me why they were STINGY with seasonings and dipping sauces... the least the could do is let me enjoy the food being served during my recovery.
The staff at Melrose Center are amazing in all levels of care! I would recommend it to anyone I know. Treatment is hard, but that is inevitable. The staff here do a lot to make you feel comfortable and to help you recover.
Melrose saved my life. The staff in the intensive residential unit is absolutely incredible from day one. The structure and atmosphere helped me overcome my eating disorder and set me up on the right track for recovery. Highly recommend for anyone struggling with an eating disorder.
Policy of keeping shades closed in PHP adult day room: NO one is listening so maybe I’ll get results here…..It’s like a cave and I’m claustrophobic. It’s bad enough that the windows are frosted but not seeing sunlight is worse. Apparently my concerns, being the minority, don’t matter. Especially seeing as I had no vote. Almost as bad as the bank vault meal room at TEP Como. Triggering. But my needs don’t matter!!!!!
Speaking for IOP. The message is loud and clear; if youre struggling to any degree, you arent welcomed, at all. There is 0 support offered at all, group leaders clearly pick favorites, people with eating disorders arent welcomed, if you arent 1000% recovered they dont want you there at all. There is 0 support offered during meal times. If you arent comfortable opening up to a room of extremely judgemental strangers right away, you arent welcome.
