About this business
Melo's actually began in a remote village in the lush Calabrian hills of Southern Italy. There two brothers, Carmelo and Gaetano, were raised on simple, rustic meals which incorporated the best regional ingredients such as pure olive oil, tasty tomatoes, red hot chilis, wild oregano, flavorful eggplants, hand made pasta and hearty bread.

Ive been going to Melos pizza since 1986 .. It was a small hole in the wall pizza shack in Pleasant Hill but had the best pizza .. I saw the change and remodel and it went from a great pizza shack to a great restaurant with a full menu of quality food (I haven't had everything on the menu , but what I have had is first rate).... I found a great pizza shack that turned into a great Italian restaurant back in 1986 and just want to share .... I have had other food there but I always go for the pizza ... My family and I usually love this place. We always get the mac and cheese and have tem add bacon and chicken. Last night we ordered for pick up and got home and there was no flavor to the mac and cheese and the chicken was super tough and rubbery! Not sure if they have a new chef but super disappointed
There food is starting to taste the same like their Rizzotos like chicken soup, and it's too salty. Maybe they need a new chef. The clams they serve are very salty and it also tastes like too much chicken stock. Why would that be.
Love their pizza. Best in Brentwood/Antioch. Look forward to my next visit. Be sure to make reservations.
