Pizza was ok. We had to go and find the waiter to place order, we're never offered refills on drinks, . I don't mind rock music, but in a nearly empty room, it is loud. And no, don't say old ladies....we invented rock music. Then they turned on an important football game, which I totally agree needed to be broadcast, but turn down the music. Conversation was difficult. We thought it could be a nice lunch spot and a maj jong game but nope, not going back.
Ordered the large holy shiitake and one large "build your own pizza". The mushroom pizza had so little mushroom on it that at least 25% of the slices had no mushrooms on them. The second pizza was below their own standards. The take out pizza was not ready when promised. $62 tab was not well spent.
This is a very nice place that is very vibrant with murals on every wall and lots of the eclectic art but the real secret is their pizza crust. I think they use distilled water or something that makes it so good but we enjoyed it and will be back.
Mellow Mushroom has a wonderful, distinctive crust for their crust, which we love. The crust is not thin and not too thick, just right. Our custom ordered ingredients were fresh and tasty. Service was quick and friendly.
