The idea back then was the same as it is now, to make the delicious, craveable slice of pizza on the planet. This was our first time at the Mellow Mushroom. The pretzels and pizza were fantastic. Our waitress was great. We will be back again!

I had a chefs salad. The pieces of ham were too big as well as everything else in the salad. The peppers were in big chunks, the tomatoes were in slices. Everything was just too big. To hard to cut everything up in the bowl. Dressing, honey mistard, was just so, so. Husband had pizza. He said it was just ok, edible. Pizza is a bit pricey.

When we first walked in we were impressed with the decor. Unlike anything we had seen. We were seated quickly. We requested to be seated where we could see the Big 12 game and they promptly got the game on we wanted to see. There was a great selection of beer. I thought the prices were reasonable. The large pizza we ordered was plenty big for my college aged son, husband and I. The staff was friendly and gave great service. We would definitely eat here again next time we come to Coralville.
