We had a Home Equity loan with Mellon when they were in Scranton PA. which we closed and began to pay off in 1998. However in 2006 Mellon sold this loan to a loan service. After paying this loan service for 5 years, they sold the company to another loan service. Later we found out that the first loan service added $1,770 to the principle balance transferred by Mellon Bank, and when we asked Mellon for help in correcting this fraudulent activity they refused and we had to acquire the services of an attorney.
