Something you don't get too often is exceptional service, and that is what I get here every time. I always get the help I need when I need it. They are super knowledgeable and when I have a question I know I will always get the right answers at Pet Depot. The best part is that the owners are local, and I think it is so important to shop at local businesses. I always see them raising money for animals through the New Bedford Coalition for Animals. RecommendedI bring my Silky Terrier for a spa day, Mollie does very well likes to be treated like the Diva she is, I find the staff wonderful especially like the way they treat all there customers including the furry kind, you can tell the staff love animals. Mollie always looks, feels and smells awesome when we leave. Truly a pleasure doing business will Melissa's Pet Depot, thank you very much from Mollie's mom.
Nice store. Prices on par with big box stores. Experience I had recently was not good. In Fairhaven store, they recently had 2 rabbits and a guinea pig surrendered to them. The rabbits were priced at a discount. $15 for 1 or $20 for both. When I inquired about the guinea however no one could tell me how much(wasn't labeled) so told me it was $39.99 like normal. Ridiculous price for an animal with no guarantee and they couldn't tell us for certain the sex or how old. If they had said $15 or even $20 would have gotten. I fell ... read more

Hello David can you please tell me what day you were at the store and if you know the name of the clerk you spoke with? I would like to speak to my employee about this situation because if she did not know the answer to your question then she should have asked a co-worker or even given me a call. Depending on what day you were there the guinea pig may not have been for sale yet as we allow for both quarantine time and distressing time so surrendered animals can adjust to their new environment. Great family pet store! As we've recently moved to the state we were in need of finding a new dog food as the one we've used for years was undeliverable to the store... The manager and staff members were excellent as it took a while to find just the right one for my pup as he is verrrry picky! We visit the store once to twice a month it's always been clean and staff is welcoming!
Shopped in Fairhaven often and used the grooming facility for all 3 of my Labs. After my last visit a couple weeks ago and the very young and very rude sales girl pretty much told me my vet sucked and I was harming my pets I will never go back again.
