The very first appointment I had with her, she recommended I get a sacral nerve stimulator which has proven100% ineffective and actually contraindicated for someone with one of my conditions. Because of her slick credentials I didn't doubt her recommendation which was an error on my part. In my opinion doctors with smaller practices and less show time have been much better.
My experience was horrendous. She told me to suck it up, sucks getting old, and we can sew shut your vagina or remove it , if it hurts for bad. That's just some of the absolutely horrible advice & bedside manners. WORST DOCTOR EVER. Why do I suspect many reviews were written by her staff?
I started seeing Dr. Kaufman two years ago. I have found her to be skilled, knowledgeable, and compassionate. I travel three hours each way to see her because I trust her clinical judgement and feel taken care of.
When a doctor tells you they don't believe anyone, heads up. They don't believe you, or any other doctor. How do you even work as a doctor with your nursing staff if you trust noone? Horrible experience, worst bedside manners ever.
Most of my concerns were summarily dismissed, I was told to basically suck it up with concerns about my urological issues, and that it "Sucks getting old" in regard to my chronic pain issues. If you want a doctor very dismissive of your concerns, even if you are 'complicated', go to her. If you want actual help, go somewhere else.
