I am a financial planner and Medicare planner and three clients that are nurses recommended Dr Hurd. Dr Hurd has been my primary care doctor for about 10 years. I could not be happier. She listens, is knowledgeable and empathic. Her staff is excellent. I have even gotten referrals before leaving the office. Amazing. I have referred many clients to her and they have all been very happy. Dr Hurd is everything you could hope for in a PCP.
Melissa Hurd is abysmal. I attended her practice twice: once, voluntarily, and this later time, assigned by a new insurance company. She violated my HIPPA, and her professionalism was beyond repugnant. She deleted my patient portal after I messaged her to cease contact since I am a former patient. I am considering litigation. Cant make appointments when you need to. Odd policies of making appointments. Cannot receive care when needed. Does not do any exams required for school or work, such as sports or medical clearance for CNA school. Was told to go to urgent care for physical when it was needed for work clearance. (Even though daughter was established patient with a ppo insurance). Not even if you pay cash for visit. These policies are not good if you need regular care or get sick. So only patients that dont get sick should go here.

I’ve been with Dr Hurd for 25 years and wouldn’t trade her for any other. Very thorough, kind and patient. Has kept me up to date on all issues of aging and changes. She takes her time and no rush. Love her and her staff.
