I went in for a blow out. I have thick 4B natural hair. The hair dryer gets extremely hot, but beauty is pain. My hair came out great. Wash, hooded dry, hand dryer, and flat iron took less than 2 hours even with customers ahead of me. Great prices too. I was shocked to be able to get my hair done so fast on a Saturday without an appointment. I will definitely return.

I’ve been going to Melissa’s Hair Salon for over eight years, and I’m always satisfied with the final outcome. Melissa is very consistent; my hair comes out pretty and soft every time.

I visited this salon three times over the past few months, and while my first two experiences weren’t great, the third—and final—was the worst. As an immigrant and woman of color living in the neighborhood, I was shocked by the disrespectful treatment I received at a business also owned by an immigrant woman. I went in and asked for a wash and set with a deep condition. I have a quiet voice so maybe they didn't hear me properly but after the deep condition, the woman who washed my hair just clipped it up and had me sit under the dryer. The stylist then asked if I wanted her to flat iron my hair. I said I had asked for a wash and set. She said "no, your hair is natural we can't wash and set."
