Dr. Mel is a truly an exceptional physician. She really cares about her patients and actually listens to them. She also has a stellar "bedside manner," and I highly recommend her--great doctor!
Having close to an hour to go over your symptoms, discuss a diagnosis, and get recommendations for effective remedies and treatments that avoid or minimize side effects is a real blessing. I simply cannot get the same standard of care from a 15-minute visit to a primary care physician or urgent care center. Dr. Gastellum is the best, kindest, and most compassionate doctor I have been fortunate enough to work with since I moved to Tucson 20 years ago. I cannot recommend her services highly enough. With most doctors, you are lucky if you get 5 minutes of their attention before being pushed out the door with a prescription or two in your hand. Dr Mel is a willing listener. She takes the amount of time you need to work through questions and concerns. She is totally present, looks you in the eye, take notes.
