My dad is 89 yo, so I'm reviewing for him. Dr. Lao is a good doctor and the staff tries to be helpful. However, if you are in the same position I am, caring for a elderly parent, a simple note in the patients file, to the fact (or create a form for the patient to sign indicating certain individuals who can assist on his behalf). The current system hinders getting aid to the elderly patient and does more harm to their health.
Dr. Lao is caring, listens and understands. That’s rare these days in primary care. Knowing I’m heard and understood helps me feel I’m a partner in my own health care. Thanks Dr. Lao!
