I had a few specific questions about meds and she wanted to talk through each of my concerns as they came up. It was refreshing to not have to ask her to slow down to take my questions - she was proactive in making sure I was involved in each of the decisions.
Could've cost my babies their lives. Failed to catch symptoms of a serious liver condition, cholestasis, which can carry 25X risk of stillbirth. When I put together the diagnosis myself, Heidi repeatedly told me she wasn't convinced and I was overthinking things, and made several worryingly inaccurate comments about cholestasis. I had to push to have labs done and she refused to start me on medication, even pushing back against another doctor prescribing meds when I reached out in desperation. We had the exact same experience as another reviewer:'She never introduced herself to us during our first visit and I thought we were talking to another nurse. She also talked about herself most of the appointment (not her medical experience, but her personal dietary choices).'She also made me feel so stupid for asking about a 3D ultrasound. Dr Heidi wanted me to have an early c section due to age and weight without even knowing me and my health. I was running regularly and in the best physical shape of my life but due to BMI and age she made her decision. It took me over a year to heal from c section and I still think she made it happen by boosting my pitocin up really high because it was almost morning and would interfere with her daily appts. I met Dr. Heidi during my first pregnancy and she and her staff answered every question and calmed all my nerves. I love how thorough she is with all appointments but super friendly and personable. She works hard and is dedicated to her practice. She gets to know her patients to better treat the whole person. I drive a great length to see her for regular appointments and health issues. She’s worth it!

She predicted a c section before my baby was even born for absolutely no medical reason at all. Her bedside manor was horrible. She didn’t follow my birth plan wishes at all. I’m pretty sure she had me on a clock because she wanted to go home. After performing the unnecessary c section she left. Didn’t come to check on me in the recovery room at all. She made my birthing experience a nightmare. Needless to say I will be switching providers next time around.
