I had purchased an F900 GSA a month ago from a different dealer, but it just wasn't comfortable for me. I wanted to move to an R1300R and approached several dealers for trade. The service provided by Juan and Omar at BMW Motorrad Melbourne was first-class and thoroughly professional from start to finish. Juan in particular always took the time to answer my questions and assist me in any way he could. This is exactly the level of service you'd expect when investing in a premium product, and based on my experience, these guys set the benchmark for what motorcycle service should look like, in a world where good service is getting harder to find. Sam squeezed me in to repair a puncture and did an overdue service at the same time all in one day.
Aug 2026: My wife and I collected our new R1300RT Impulse today. We traded in our R1300GSA and Juan did us another great deal. We enjoyed the GSA but wanted to try this model out for longer distance 2-up touring. The RT has some pretty cool touring features! Juan (sales) and Sam (service/parts) always look after us really well in terms of both prices and service. 2 weeks into RT ownership now and I am loving the new bike and will back in soon to get the 1000km service done, along with some accessories installed.
