My son was operated on by Prof van Akkooi to remove 9 non cancerous moles and had been left with 9 enormous scars. The scars are far worse than I could possibly have imagined when my son was going into the procedure. I am reluctant to give negative reviews because I assume everyone is trying their best but in this instance the results are just so bad and upsetting I feel I have to.
Early in 2024 I was sent here by my GP. I entered into trials and have had the luck to be cared for by a wonderful team that have gone above and beyond to help me. I cannot speak any higher of the team looking after me....Grace has been awesome, as has Professor Menzies. If you have to go here, and I hope that you don't, then rest assured that you are in the best hands receiving the highest level of care

My husband saw Dr Coker who was exceptionally kind, considerate and thorough. He put many of our worries at ease. My husband had already been diagnosed with melanoma but Dr Coker was the only doctor to offer him an additional full mole check and take the time to really explain things. We would not hesitate to recommend Dr Coker to friends and family. He is an absolute credit to the Melanoma Institute.
