Calling Melanie was the best call I ever made. Melanie is the genuine cheerleader every new mom needs, She is an extremely knowledgeable professional about all topics breastfeeding and postpartum. When my milk came in after my first pregnancy, she taught me how to pump to establish an ample milk supply and how to set up a bottle-feeding routine that worked for my family until my son learned how to latch. Melanie is an incredible IBCLC and I am so lucky to have had her help when I encountered lactation difficulties with my second child. She was exceptionally knowledgeable about multiple aspects of breast feeding complications. She provided practical and effective strategies to help me deal with latching issues and pain with nursing. She demonstrated truly empathetic listening and has a remarkably caring nature. I would highly, highly recommend her to all moms who are breastfeeding, whether it’s their first or fifth baby!
Worked with Melanie in our NICU for a few years and myself along with all the mothers have nothing but positive things to say about her! My son was born with jaundice. We had a five day stay in the hospital and he wouldn’t latch. I was seen by a Lactation Consultant durning my stay and we still couldn’t get him on. So I had to pump and feed him that way.
