We didn’t request Dr Melamdowitz services but he was allocated to us by the Mater private hospital. He arrived four and half hours late to discharge us. Put on gloves to handle our five day old baby, then wiped his nose that was running a couple of times before picking up the baby. Super unhygienic. Invoiced us months later for this ‘service’ that we never agreed to nor were consulted about.
He looked after both our babies at the Mater Maternity ward. Our first baby had a medical emergency and had to go into ICU and Melamdowitz was there in no time at all to attend to the emergency. We wouldn't use any other doctor if we were to have another baby.
An excellent diagnostitian who is very knowledgeable and thorough with his consultation. Was always given notice by his receptionist if he was running late. Friendly and gentle with my child.
He is clearly knowledgeable during the times when he sees his patients. Unfortunately, it was very hard to get hold of him and the sessions were short (fee is still 150 even if attends for 5 min). At the end, ended up staying extra night at hospital as didn’t see us until last day and GP said Blue Book didn’t have all sections completed.
