In addition to being a very down-to-earth, easy-to-talk-to specialist, Dr. Mekras maintains advanced knowledge in his field and is cognizant of the latest procedures, medications, and clinical trials. During my years seeing him, I have had the benefit of all of those skills and knowledge. Dr Mekras I s our family urologist. Removed stones from my dad’s kidneys several years and now just performed similar procedure on my aunt. Saved their kidneys. He’s the best and has a kind compassionate soul. Highly recommended.

I never presented with a uro problem that he could not solve. Kind, personal, and unhurried. waiting time can be bad sometimes, but well worth it.
Thank God we found this Dr. He is special for sure. He is very caring and what is truest awesome is how the nurses feel free to call him at anytime of day if a problem arises. He came twice daily to check on my husband who was in hospital for a week. He’s like those old fashioned doctors who go the extra mile for his patients. Highly recommend him.
Visiting Dr. Mekras was such a relief from the typical visit to a doctors' office. In addition to his professionalism and his explanation of presenting the diagnosis and the treatment of symptoms, he always made time to inquire about my husband's life. The night my husband died, Dr. Mekris happened to be in the hospital as he frequently was, and was the only doctor present during those last moments and I never thanked him for his empathy.
