Honestly if I was given the option to rate this doctor (Sharad Kothari) less than 1 I would. This is not a doctor that I would recommend to my worst enemy. Firstly, there is no privacy in the clinic. The walls are so thin that everyone in the entire clinic including the waiting room hears your business. This doctor bills your insurance for everything, even just to ask a simple question, he puts you in the room and takes your blood pressure. I suspect he is doing insurance fraud. I’ve been seeing this doctor for routine check-ups for years without issue, mainly because I did not need any follow up. At my most recent visit, I asked him to prescribe a weight-loss medication for which I knew I met every insurance criteria. He pushed back immediately, saying insurers “never approve it.” Because I work in healthcare, I understand denials usually stem from needing clear indication of why it is needed/ that they meet criteria.
