Was so excited after reading the reviews but reality sank in afterwards. Having not seen a doctor for routine care in over 40 years i was anxious to get established with one in retirement. This was clearly explained as my objective for the appointment. I asked that we get a clear baseline and suggested routine lab work to start off with. I went to this provider based on reviews on the u of u website provider info website and I regret it. I was having bad symptoms. Notes from someone that took an x ray SHE requested clearly stated I should probably do an MRI. I had to ask 3 times and she said no multiple times when I told her my pain was not bearable she simply “ I’m here to provide you meds if you need them what do you want” LITERALLY. Terrible doctor. Double charged me for a visit because I asked one additional question. Did not actually know the answer and took a picture and walked away to obviously look it up. Gave me the wrong paperwork for my lab work. Careless, dismissive, rude.
I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Mehrnoosh Shakeri. She takes time to really listen. My visits never feel rushed, and she respects my preferences while still providing a high quality of care. She’s proactive about prevention, quick with test results and portal follow-ups, and excellent at coordinating referrals when needed. When I recently had symptoms that may have indicated a serious issue, she made sure that I was able to get in asap to see a specialist.
