Very thorough and listened to issues.
I'll go on about my whole course of treatment. Got a referral by my GP to Dr. Almand after researching orthopaedists online. Pre-surgery went well, had both hips replaced 6 weeks apart. Recovery and PT went well except for a fungal infection around the incision on the second replacement surgery. I do miss having Dr. Almand do the annual follow-ups.
Kerk was very professional and considerate. Explained that I was a candidate for surgery, and said I would know when the time was right. Great staff. We Jacksonians are fortunate to have such a facility as Sports Medicine.
Have had two hip replacements by Dr. Mehrle within six month time span. Recovery went so well with first and other hip failing by same diagnosis, I was glad to be scheduled for second hip replacememt with him. Very professional. His staff is great! My recovery for both has been excellent. Comment to me by other providers in my recovery: that he is a great surgeon. He's also approachable and comes across still like a small town guy.
Dr arrived and immediately extended hand, not gloved, to shake my hand. Seeing my hesitancy launched into recounting that he's already had Covid. Said it was no big deal, sick a couple days, etc. so he really didn't even need to wear a mask. REALLY? He thinks he's immune. If he is, Great! However, as a physician he should KNOW that he could also still be a carrier, even more so given his poor sanitary technique. Fantastic doctor..listens to you and is not rushed. A very caring doctor.
Dr. Ethridge is kind, compassionate, takes time to listen, and is a very competent physician and surgeon. Almost three years ago he performed surgery in my left wrist and I am very pleased with the result. I saw him for a different reason yesterday. I hope he continues to practice for many years!
Dr. Mehrle is a very good surgeon words not enough.
My visit went very well in a smooth timely manner. All the staff members were very courteous and friendly. Dr. Ethridge was very patient and listen to my questions and concerns.
