So far, so good! Time will tell how long it sticks, but everything you need to get a good bond is included. Scouring pad, primer & the same 3m tape they used on the space shuttle. I just installed on our Regal 26 Express. Doesn’t look bad at all.

Just wanted to say that the skeg guard pro proved its worth a few days ago. I was fishing a tournament on the upper Mississippi River and smoked a big log in the main channel at about 50mph. It was hiding in a wave and didn’t see it before it was too late. I’m happy to report no damage to the boat! The log almost knocked me sideways but at least no damage to skeg/lower unit! Not even a ding in the skeg guard!

Garrett, Mercury makes different gearcase options for the Pro XS. Options include standard, torque master, torque master II and sport master. These gearcase models vary in size, and also the shape of the skeg. The model number you provided us is for a 250 Pro XS XL standard 5.44" gearcase. The model we fit is for a 250 Pro XS Torquemaster 4.8" gearcase. Currently we do not have a SkegGuard model that will fit the Pro XS 5.44" gearcase. Buyer BEWARE!!!!! Purchased a skeg guard for my outboard motor, but it will not fit even though the website and packaging say it will. The company has labeled packaging wrong, and won’t own up to it! Company will not take care of issue, and loves to pass blame! Use a company that will stand behind there product, and not behind their door!

We would have been more than happy to refund your money if you had purchased the product through us. However, you purchased it through a different company. Highly recommend Megaware Keel Guard. Great product and terrific 5 star service. If you beach your boat, save the gel-coat and install one. You'll be glad you did.
