I highly recommend Dr. Mirkes to be your primary doctor. She is a great to work with and is patient first!! For example, a few years ago I was diagnosed in Florida with colorectal cancer just as we were leaving for Madison a few years ago, Dr. Mirkes contacted the Carbon Cancer center at UW hospital and I was connected with an awesome oncologist within days and had appointments ready when I got to Madison. Just awesome!
This doctor has cared for a close family member. She's not thorough, she's made several inappropriate comments that likely wouldn't have been made if a family member was in the room, and you have to constantly follow up with her to get anything processed. She's an example of why the stats in Wisconsin are so poor for women of color. I DO NOT recommend this doctor.
Dr. Mirkes is so through! She is great at her job. Perfect personality for a Doc!
