These people are completely misleading I have never had this experience working with a wholesale distributor. They sold me a 15lb box of cut and trimmed oxtails and when I got to my restaurant I weighed it and it was under 13lbs. When I contacted them they said the oxtails are 15lbs before they cut and trim them. I have purchased cut and trimmed oxtails from many distributors and whatever weight they're selling the box for is the exact weight of oxtails you're receiving.
