Extremely disappointed in my dealings with Meeks regarding their fireplace department. We wanted a fireplace to serve as backup heat, and to help keep our house warm on cold winter days. Meeks picked one out for us and we went with it. Not being savants in fireplaces, we trusted their judgement. After this most recent cold snap, our fireplace was putting out little to no heat. We went there with an appointment to look at windows. They refused to bid the windows we were interested in, citing they were "too expensive". They were pushing us to change our plans from 7 ft windows to 6 ft windows, but we are building our dream home and wanted the 7 ft windows. Called to see about getting some tongue and groove cedar boards. Called the bolivar location first and they advised for me to give the design center a call. Spoke with Janna, explained to her that we are cladding something and that we were needing tongue and groove board and she cuts me off halfway through and says “I don’t know anything about this.” I said I know I don’t expect you to I’m calling for the first time.
