I have never given such a low rating. I have given this company a few chances to provide a needed service. A one star is generous. Really, a rating of negative stars is most appropriate here for: - Over promising and under delivering.. - Having an 88 year old wait all day and not show up or call . We contacted Medvisit yesterday to book a home doctor visit because I am very sick. The appointment was scheduled for today between 8:30 am and 3:00 pm. We provided our full address and two contact numbers, mine and my husband’s. No doctor arrived and no one called. At 2:00 pm today, after waiting most of the day, we contacted the service and were told the doctor was running late and that we should continue waiting. We had an emergency during the snow storm. We were not willing to take my mom to the emergency due to the windchill factor, so set up a house call. Due to the weather condition I was on stand by with an appointment setup for Monday. End of Friday I got an alert asking if I would like to get a doctor on Saturday. I am so happy the doctor came and prescribed meds for a chest cough. The service was excellent, experienced and to schedule as notified. I like to thank the service, doctor and professionalism on the house call.
WARNING: They do not make it very clear that this service is only covered by OHIP if it’s a 65+ year old person or someone with mobility disabilities or bedridden. They otherwise charge $150 for service. This is after spending 3 hours on a painstakingly slow web chat with an agent that is clearly very swamped, and no clear way to call them to clarify the request it just goes to voicemail.
